Terms of Service
Plain-language rules for using Vastiko. We process nothing on our servers, you owe us nothing, we owe you no warranty — but we do owe you straight answers.
1. Acceptance
By using vastiko.com (the 'Service'), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please don't use the Service.
2. The Service
Vastiko provides browser-based tools for working with PDFs, images, and similar documents. All processing happens inside your browser tab. We do not host an upload pipeline, file storage, or server-side processing for your file content.
3. No account, no fee
The Service is currently free to use without registration. There is no charge today, no recurring billing, and no payment information is ever requested.
4. Acceptable use
You may use Vastiko for any lawful purpose. You agree not to:
- Use the Service to process files you do not have the right to access.
- Reverse engineer the Service for the purpose of disabling our analytics or theft of intellectual property.
- Attempt to overload, scrape, or otherwise abuse the publicly hosted infrastructure (the static HTML/CSS/JS bundle).
- Use the Service in a way that violates applicable laws — including export controls, sanctions, copyright, and data-protection laws of your jurisdiction.
5. Your content
You retain all rights, title, and interest in any file you process with the Service. We claim no license to your content because we do not receive your content. The Service operates only on data inside your browser memory.
6. Intellectual property
The Service — the website code, brand, design, and copy — is owned by Vastiko and protected by copyright. The Service incorporates open-source components, each governed by its own license. Attributions are available on request.
7. Warranty disclaimer
The Service is provided 'as is' and 'as available' without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant:
- That the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
- That output files will be perfectly accurate for every input. PDF processing is heuristic; some malformed inputs may produce unexpected output.
- Compatibility with every device or browser version.
Because the Service is free and runs locally in your browser, you should always keep a backup of important originals before processing them. We cannot recover a file you didn't keep.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Vastiko, its operator, contributors, and the open-source libraries embedded in the Service shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, or goodwill — arising from your use of the Service.
Because the Service is provided free of charge and processes your files locally on your device, our exposure to data-related claims is structurally limited: we never received your data and never charged you anything.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be flagged on this page with a new version number. Continued use of the Service after changes means acceptance of the new terms.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may, at our discretion, restrict access from IPs engaged in abusive behavior. Because there are no accounts, there is nothing to 'close.'
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Czech Republic, where the operator is registered as a sole trader (OSVČ). Any dispute that cannot be resolved by good-faith correspondence will be brought before the competent Czech courts.
